QOYLLOR RITTY (3 days and 2 nights) :

PERIOD: Festival day of Sr. of Qoyllorritty.

SUMMARY :

Qoyllur Ritty is a Quechua word that means Snow that shines like star. People of this place are devote of Taytacha Qoyllur Ritty (The gentleman of the Brilliant Snow). This is only a religious old habit practiced by the inhabitants from Andes. Every year, some days before the celebration of the Corpus Christi, each small town or clan sends a delegation of colorful dancers and "pabluchas" to the Chapel of the Mr. of Qoyllur Ritty. This it is located at the beginning of a called mountain Sinakara in the town of Mawayany, to 4600 meters on the sea level. The pabluchas represents German nickels and they are the middlemen among the Mr. of Qoyllur Ritty and the men. The ascent to the chapel carries out it at 4 in the morning for Sinakara spurring on its animals. During the party people that participate in the procession of Our Mrs. of Fátima they will have good luck in the businesses, life and future. The end of the procession takes place in the Inca old capital of Cusco with the processions of the Corpus Christi, the streets and squares are replete of people, music and color.

ITINERARY :

DAY 01:
CUSCO. MAGUALLANI. QOYLLUR RITTY

We leave to those 08:00 p.m. and we arrive approximately to those 12.00 p.m. to Maguallani. There we have half hour to enlist our things and we leave toward Qoyllur Ritty that is to 292 Km. of Cusco. We will walk by the light of the moon in a procession together with more than 2000 devote pilgrims of the Mr. of Qoyllor ritty. To the one around those 3:00 of the morning will arrive to our camp place where we will be able to relax us and to sleep.

DAY 02:
QOYLLUR RITTY

To those 07:00 a.m. we will have breakfast. Then we will go to the church to participate in the daily mass that he/she takes approximately half hour. Then we begin our march toward the sacred mountain of Qoyllor ritty where we will observe all the old rites and customs that they apply to an altitude of 4,800 meters on the sea level. After that we will eat lunch and subsequently we will continue our trip among slopes and ascended by 4 hours in total. We will arrive at the Fair in which each visitor participates. To those 07:00 p.m. we will have dinner and then we will spend the night.

DAY 03:
QOYLLUR RITTY - CUSCO

To those 07:00 a.m. we will have breakfast then we will appreciate the one lowered of the pabluchas who get Then off the snowy one to receive the blessing that will be wings 10:00am, we will walk from return to Maguallani in approximately 2 hours. Here we will visit this place shortly, we will eat lunch and later we will return to Cusco in bus or automobile according to the I number of pax to where we will arrive approximately to those 04:00 PM
